Hope you are all doing good. I recently purchased few Korean skincare products from an instagram seller – Skintillating_ind. You can check out my haul on my instagram post. One of the products is the Skinfood Black Sugar wash off mask. This works as a scrub and also as a face mask. Isn’t that cool? I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks and I’ll be sharing my experience now.
SKINFOOD is the first cosmetic brand to root itself in food. We believe that nutritive food results in nutritive beauty for healthy, beautiful skin. Our food philosophy drives our product development to ensure that only the highest quality food ingredients are used to create a more beautiful, healthier lifestyle. Our roots date back to 1957.
A mask washoff featuring organic black sugar granules that exfoliate and nourish skin for a smooth, clean complexion.
Why Black Sugar?
SKINFOOD’ s Black Sugar Cleansing skin care line is an exfoliating and moisturizing cleansing line with organic black sugar. Black sugar is enriched with vitamins and minerals to hydrate and nourish skin. Dead skin cells are scrubbed away, leaving skin soft and glowing.
The black sugar sourced by SKINFOOD is not actually black, but a dark brown sugar. The brown color derives from the amount of molasses, a syrup separated out from sugar after the refining process. While most commercial brown sugar is just refined white sugar coated with molasses, black sugar is unrefined, leaving behind more of the natural benefits. Enriched with vitamins and minerals and organically farmed without pesticides, it’ s sweet to the taste and to the touch!
The mask is packed in a white plastic tub and has an inner lid which makes it spill proof and leak proof. However, some particles of the mask gets stuck to the lid – which I don’t like!
Sucrose, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Lanolin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Laurate, Bht, Butylparaben, Fragrance, Caramel
Directions to use
After cleansing, massage gently into damp skin, or mix with water/cosmetic water and apply. Avoid skin around the eyes and lips. After 10-15 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water.
$10 for 100 grams
The mask is in chocolate brown colour and is of a paste like consistency. It isn’t runny and so it is convenient to use. It has a citrusy fragrance which isn’t overpowering. I take a scoop and massage it on my damp skin as per the instruction. The particles are mild yet effective and wouldn’t irritate sensitive skin.
I leave it on the skin for about 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off. It doesn’t cause any tingling on my sensitive areas and gives a mild cooling effect. Once I wash it off, my skin becomes soft and instantly bright. Though I have dry skin, it doesn’t make my skin stretchy or dry. This is one of my favourites from my haul and my skincare collection.
It is perfect for every busy woman who wants take care of the skin but doesn’t have enough time. All it takes is 15 minutes to look rejuvenated and bright with Skinfood Black Sugar Wash Off mask.
